Programme
This workshop will focus on electrolysis and the potential this can bring to Renewable Energy Storage through hydrogen production. In particular, the workshop should discuss the following questions:
(1)SET THE FRAME: How does the technology work, what is the technical development status of electrolysis, what role can fuel cells and electrolysis play with intermittent electricity sources, energy balance (efficiency, waste)
(2) CASE STUDY & LESSONS LEARNED: demonstrate current projects, share best practice with the audience
(3) ADVANTAGES & BARRIERS: state of the art of the technology, review of benefits & discussion of barriers (technological, political, economical) to a full deployment
(4) PERSPECTIVES: market perspectives for this technology, status of market (offer & demand), next steps & key developments to achieve.
